How to play:

Shuffle the deck and deal 6 cards to each player and 4 cards face up in the middle.

Players take turns using one of the cards in their hand to either pick up a matching card from the table or add two or more cards from the table to equal the card in their hand..........or both.

The "=" can be used as a "wild" card and as any value needed.

Cards picked up are placed face down in front of that player and can no longer be used

If a player cannot match cards or add any cards to pick up, they must put one of their cards down in the middle.

Once all 6 cards have been played, another 6 cards are dealt and play continues till no more cards remain.

The final hand may have less than 6 cards depending on the number of players. If less than 4 cards are left, then these cards must be added to the cards in the middle.

If any cards are left in the middle of the table after the last card has been played those cards are awarded to the last player to have picked up.

Aim of the game: Addition

Using the cards in your hand, pick up as many cards from the cards on the table. When all the cards have been dealt and picked up, the points are calculated and the player with the most points wins.

Points value:

1 point - 1-11, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15

The "=" card is a "wild" card and is worth 1 point

The player with the most cards at the end of the game gets an additional 1 point

Total points - 29

Aim of the game: Subtraction

We threw out the forty-page rulebook. one-eleven is a fun, tactical game of simple arithmetic and problem solving.

1. Matching

If you play a card, you can take the same number value from the table.

e.g. A 5 card can pick up a 5 card, a 12 card can pick up a 12 card

2. Adding

You can also take multiple cards if they add up to your played card.

e.g. A 5 card can pick up a 2 and 3 card. A 14 card can pick up a 3 and 1-11 card.

You can take as many valid combinations as possible in one turn.

e.g. A 7 card can pick up another 7 card and a 2 and 5 card in the same turn.

If you cannot make a capture, you must place one card onto the table instead.

3. Important Rule

If a player clears the table completely, the next player must place a card on the table without capturing.

4. End of the Game

The game ends when all cards have been played.

Any remaining table cards go to the last player who made a capture.

5. Tie-break

If two players are tied on points and have captured the same number of cards, the winner is the player who last captured a card.
